Lightning

Sometimes the body feels electric.
As life volts through its veins,
When energy jolts it to activeness,
When we are kicked alive and made responsive.
Many times the body feels electric.

Sometimes the mind feels electric.
As time forces us to face many pains,
When we are shocked into consciousness,
When we spark to life and become creative.
Oh, many times the mind feels electric.

Sometimes the soul feels electric.
As desire zaps us, and we are unconstrained,
When dreams bolt us into wakefulness,
When ideas buzz us and we are explosive.
Oh yes, many times the soul feels electric.
